Silent Hill SM Uses Music Loops

I have discovered that Silent Hill Shattered Memories used a music loop from Garageband in one of the game's songs.

Akira Yamaoka (the original song writer for Silent Hill) wrote over 200 songs for the Silent Hill franchis and not once did he use a pre-made loop sample. Yet, the second this new American team gets full controle of the series, they start using loops because they can't write music.

I registered on this site (which took forever btw) simply 'cause of this post that made me feel like ranting.
few notes before actually point: I am not speaking against Akira Yamaoka - I am simply stating the facts.
and I apologize in advance if I sound rude or something...

Nothing you have said or shown in this video is right, it is all WRONG! and based on fallacies.
I must say if you're going to make a post like this you should first inform yourself (google it up!)

First - no-one has "started" using loops, Akira Yamaoka has been using pre-sampled loops since the first day he stepped in to Silent Hill Team (if not before).
Not a single loop or sample has been created by Akira, not ONE!

Here's just a small (very small) list of libraries he used in his songs.
- Spectrasonics Bizarre Guitar
- Spectrasonics Metamorphosis
- EastWest BT Breakz From the Nu Skool
- EastWest BT Twisted Textures
- Zero-G Altered States
- Big Fish Audio Sound Design Alien Guitars
- SampleLab Broken Beats
- and many, many, MANY more...

They are sold for "free-to-use" and so Akira bought them to use them... freely.

Second - Akira did not leave SH Team until Downpour, so literally speaking - he WAS a "composer" (more like arranger of loops) of Shattered Memories and as always, he DID use loops.
"America" could not have forced him in to using pre-sampled loops and btw... new Silent Hill is not developed by America, but Czech... so there...
And Shattered Memories (nor Origins) was not devloped by American company, but by United Kingdom company (Climax).
The only game develoepd by American company was Homecoming.
You'd actually be suprised how the new composer of Downpour (and TV Show Dexter) is a lot more "original" than Akira.

Last but not least - if he did use that guitar loop in his song, then that only means that GB got it the same way as he did - from libraries that sell them so people could use them FREELY!
Akira uses them, many, many, MANY game composers use them, even film "composers" use them and yes, so do aprox 75% of other musicians.

It all comes down to the fact that it was created, not how and by who, but that it was created.
Sorry to kill your god (?) but, for what it's worth - enjoy your new heaven, Scoot. XD
Also he did not "write" over 200 songs... there's a... fact I suppose... he created over 200 sounds for footsteps, doors and other sound effects... and that only goes for SH1 & SH2...

I repeat - sorry if I sound rude...

P.S. if you want proof or fulfill curiosity or something... I can send you links... I don't know if posting links is against rules... so if you want I'll PM them to you...

Wow, really? I mean, a lot of the songs before this were repetitive as hell, but they were still good. Take Betrayal for example. Extremely repetitive, but a great song. This, on the other hand...is just sad. Games like this are the reason why people constantly hate on an otherwise respectable console.

On another note, is it creepy at all that I go to sleep each night listening to the SH2 soundtrack?

Scoot, understandable its kinda lazy of the "new" silent hill team to use bits from garage band to make their music instead of being more unique, and dynamic. People are making hundreds of songs a day and its kinda hard for someone to make a good creepy song for game francises, so it is kind lazy if they went to something like garage band, but it doesnt mean that its a bad thing to need inspiration, and not copy right anyone elses songs. you know?
