well (spioler alerts all over) PH was born from james subcutaneous for that he want to be punished for his sins when he saw the painting of the executioner that gave PH his figure when he visited silent hill the first time with marry and vatiel is an angle sent by the god of the coult to watch over heather but not attack her also people say when he drags heather away he revives her when you retry or hes going to reserect alesa

"Fukuro" is a... spin off... video found in "Art of Silent Hill" and "Lost Memories: The Art & Music of Silent Hill" DVDs... I think also in "The Silent Hill: Experience"... it contains no scenes from the game itself... it is like a special project or something along with "Kinoko", "Caramel Mix" and "Usagi"... and like Dublinfox said - in "Book of Lost Memories" there is info about a lot of things, including PH / Valtiel (possible) connection...

note: don't mistake "Book of Memories" (upcoming Silent Hill game) with "Book of Lost Memories" (Silent Hill 3 Game Guide) also known as "Lost Memories: Silent Hill Chronicle"

This was something that had gotten me doing some research. According to the "Book of Lost Memories" both Valtiel and Pyramid Head could be both of the same, as in they are both faithful servants of Samael. I not really sure how the book said it, but its something like it.
