What is this website about?
If you're here and have no idea what this website is featuring, you've stumbled onto something great! Here we have two stories. Now don't go leaving just yet! I'm not finished. These aren't your ordinary stories. Both of them are fully Flash animated stories with original music as well as music performed by the band "Less Than Jake" (we were given special permission to use their music), characters, and well, plots. Very well developed plots. We see a lot of animations online that have a certain degree of humor and can be very appealing to watch. However, one thing that's always hard to find in animation these days is a good story. There's nothing like a good story. And there's nothing like the stories this website has to offer. Here we offer you two stories. They are WHOOKOS and A.E. Chronics. Both stories that have a great deal of care and time put into them to make them amazing.
What Else Does This Website Have To Offer?
Well aside from the actual stories themselves, there are other things to look at!
You can actually Sign Up and make an account here! This will give you access to the Forum where you can talk to others. It isn't required for you to make an account to use the Chat Room only because the Chat Room isn't connected to the website's member system.
You can look at original concept artwork of WHOOKOS or even real photographs of WHOOKOS from back when they first started (Yes, WHOOKOS are real people and half of the WHOOKOS story actually happened).
There's also the "Music" section where you can listen to the music used in episodes of WHOOKOS and A.E. Chronics. "Less Than Jake"s music isn't posted on the website for listening because it wasn't made by !US! Studios. For more information on their music, go to LessThanJake.com
Maybe you have a strong interest in the WHOOKOS and A.E. Chronics stories. Great places to learn more about them is the "Characters" section. There you can find information about the Characters from both WHOOKOS and A.E. Chronics. Another great place to learn about them is the "FAQ" section. There you can find questions people frequently ask about the characters, plot, and other stuff.
The "Book Of Quotes" is always good for a quick laugh as well as the "WHOOKOS Dictionary". The Book Of Quotes is a list of the many random things WHOOKOS says within the episodes. Some aren't even in the episodes at all! The WHOOKOS Dictionary is WHOOKOS's treat to you the audience. With their unique vocabulary, you might need the WHOOKOS Dictionary to get a grasp on what they are saying at times.
Then there's the classic "Chat Room" and "Forum" where other people can converse about the stories or anything else they find interesting.
What is WHOOKOS?
WHOOKOS (We Have Our Own Kind Of Smart) is a group of teenage rascals with the soul purpose to prove to the world that conformity is completely irrelevant to life. We have five WHOOKOS members. There's BlackBelt Dolphin, Kyo-kun, Rat, Scoot, and Swiffer. These five teens are accompanied by other friends that share the same feelings towards conformity as others. They are called the !US! Crew (or !US! Crew members). Though their group of friends is a minority in their school, they are absolutely dedicated to their belief. They won't be told how to think, speak, and live by others who conform to gain acceptance from other social groups. They think, speak, and live their lives the way they want to. This is WHOOKOS's story. And oh yes. You WILL laugh.
How Does WHOOKOS Spend Their Time?
WHOOKOS can be pretty random. Their interests don't include the usual sports obsessing, reality TV watching, worrying about what the current fashion style is, kind of attitude we see in the world these days. WHOOKOS's interests are more creative and more toward the unappreciated things such as:
martial arts, sword arts, anime, drawing, making movies, making animations, and just being themselves. These are things WHOOKOS favors a lot.
WHOOKOS usually spends the majority of their time being themselves. They enjoy making movies and animations just for fun. They also enjoy sparring in various martial arts and sword arts. Sports are fine and everything. But they just don't cut it. Which brings us to their next favorite thing to do, making their own sports such as:
Dodge Frisbee, G-Force, and Whoosh
Below are the rules of these three WHOOKOS sports:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Sport Number 1
Dodge Frisbee Official Rules
In Dodge Frisbee, there are three players.
At the beginning of the game, Rock, Paper, Scissors determines the positions. The looser defaults to Dodge, unless the winner or runner up asks for it. The winner calls his or her position (North or South). A three-way tie negates the call, and player restart. In the event of a two-way tie, the winner chooses the two runners’ up positions.
The two players not on Dodge (passers) work to hit the Dodger with the Frisbee. If a passer succeeds, he becomes on Dodge, and is awarded a point. The late dodger is deducted a point.
The Dodger is awarded a point if he manages to catch the pass intended to hit him or her.
A referee awards style points and flags.
A style point is awarded to a Dodger if he accomplishes a dodge in a sexy manner, as determined by the referee.
A flag is a penalty, and is a point deduction. A referee can penalize a player for any unsportsmanlike conduct, throwing the Frisbee out of bounds, hitting the Dodger in face (only if blood is drawn), groin (males only), or boobies (females only), by holding the Dodger, or by throwing illegal objects (anything other than the Frisbee) at the Dodger (The referee may issue a warning to passer in question if the Dodger consents).
In the event that there is no referee, the Film Editor serves as acting referee.
A game consists of seven rounds, unless players agree to end game early, or if the final strike of the seventh round results in a tie. If the latter, then game goes into sudden death: First point scored or deducted due to catch, style points, or penalties ends the game. The final strike is included in the resultant score.
---------------------
Sport Number 2
G-Force Official Rules
G-Force requires two players. Any more would no only be very hard, but also very dangerous
Unlike Dodge Frisbee, the rules are MUCH simpler. Your right hand should be grasping your opponents right hand and your left hand should be grasping your opponents left hand.
The main object of this game is to make your opponent fall down. So it's best to do this game outside over the grass. Now you and your opponent, while holding hands, will spin in either a clock wise or counter clock wise direction.
Quickly you will pick up speed and will find it becoming increasingly difficult to hold on to your opponents hands. First person to fall down loses. That's pretty much the game.
---------------------
Sport Number 3
Whoosh Official Rules
Here is the simplest of the WHOOKOS sports. It's actually still arguable whether to call this a sport at all or not.
Whoosh is a simple game. It requires three things:
1) A well rounded tolerance for pain.
2) A decent running speed.
3) A high level of stupidity.
To play this game, you and a group of friends must be at the top of a decent sized hill. Without a hill, this game isn't playable.
Do a count down and then run toward the edge of the hill. The second you reach the end, you and your friends will jump high into the air. Let gravity to the rest. You will fall and hit the side of the hill with a degree of force depending on how high and far you jumped.
Once everyone reaches the bottom, the winner will be judged by the person who received the least amount of damage.
Note: In all honesty, I don't recommend playing this game. WHOOKOS has an exceptionally good hill for this game. Any attempt in playing this game on a different hill will result in possible serious injury. If you wish to play Whoosh, find a hill like the one in the WHOOKOS series.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
What is A.E. Chronics?
When Scoot (character from WHOOKOS) is attending his classes at school, rather than paying attention, taking notes, studying, and doing classwork, Scoot spends his time drawing anime a lot (Not really a great way to get better at drawing. Seriously. Do your work!). When he draws, he spends most of his time drawing him and the rest of WHOOKOS and the !US! Crew. Eventually he developed a story featuring WHOOKOS. The story itself, unlike the WHOOKOS story, is rather depressing and terrifying. Scoot wanted to focus more a story showing desperate attempts for survival in a post apocalyptic like world. But it doesn't stop there. Scoot has a very high dislike for cliches. Stories about the apocalypse are told fairly often and this was in fact a cliche to Scoot. He wanted to create something a little bit different. A deeper story that got people to think more and appreciate the lives they have now. This is A.E. Chronics. And oh yes. You'll appreciate the value of life like never before.
Why Is This Series In An Anime Style?
Scoot, who created this story, draws anime all the time. This made us want to present the animation in an anime style to give a more serious feel to the story. The fact that the style is anime makes the look and feel of the animation greatly contrast from the WHOOKOS series.
----------------------------------------------------------------
That's the end of the introduction! We'll leave it up to you whether to explore this place or leave it behind. The choice is all yours.
